She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edward and Ruth Violet Sains (Reddell); her husband William R. "Bill" Allen; her siblings, Edward Sain and Beatrice Gosney; her daughter Cherry Bankston; and her great grandchild Billie Jo Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Debrah Firkus, Cheryl Smith, Ricky Allen, Lori Kiley, David Allen and Charles Allen. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Avant United Methodist Church building fund in memory of Betty Allen.
