He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Turpin and Etta Turpin; and his siblings, Ralph Turpin, James Turpin, Elvin Turpin, Leon Turpin, Kathleen Raney and Ruth Tipton.
He is survived by: his sons, Gil and Ledon; his wife Joyce; his daughters-in-law, Gil, Lisa Turpin of New Lima, Ledon and Sherri Turpin of Ada; his grandchildren, Tyler Turpin of New Lima, Jessica Turpin of Latta, Chrissa Turpin of Ada and Ashlee McCoy (Jet); his great grandchild Ti Silver Mcoy; his brother Paul Turpin of Calvin; his sister-in-law Doretta Turpin of Calvin; and his sisters, Shirley Ellis of Stuart, Pauline Johnson (Jerry) of Lindale and Margaret Levingston (Roger) of Allen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
