He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Barnes and Dulsie Barnes (Dawson); his wife Audrey Celestean Barnes; and his sisters, Rosalee Rich and June Blooding.
He is survived by: his daughter Christy Dickerson (Barnes); his grandsons, Chad Dickerson and Todd Dickerson (Andee); and his great grandchildren, Bradford and Brady Dickerson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family has designated St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 as appropriate for memorials in lieu of flowers.
