It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Cotten in Ardmore, Oklahoma, born in Calvin, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Chisum and Naomi Chisum; her sibling Thomas Joel Cotten; her son Dennis; and her granddaughter Marcie Norwood.

She is survived by : her children, Phil Cotten (Gail) of Norman, OK, Nancy Norwood (Berry) of Okmulgee, OK and Kathy Cartwright of Bentonville, AR.; her grandchildren, Jason Cotten, Aaron Norwood (Tammy), Jaime Keyes (Joe) and Kerry Middleton (Melissa); and her great grandchildren, Jacy, Justin Cotton, Dustyn Russell (Sade), Bryn, Jake Norwood, Connor, Madeleine, Mavreigh Keyes, Max (Melody), Mason, Kinley and Kolt Middleton.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tribute Event Center (708 24th Ave NW, Norman, OK 73069). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1717 W Lindsey St, Norman, OK 73069). A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Green Hill Cemetery.
