He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Wharton (Brown) and Billy D. Wharton; and his sister Nancy Ann Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Gayle Willmon; his son Roy D. Wharton (Blenda) of Ardmore; his grandchildren, Madison, Cody Moody, Eli Wharton, Jessica, Laurence Corliss, Journie, Jarod Gaither, Rory Austin and Brooklyn Corliss; his brother Billy W. Wharton (Candace) of Colorado; and his nieces, Kimberly Wharton McAuliffe (Tim) and Michele Wharton Kelly (Eric).
