He was predeceased by: his grandson Joseph Stella (Christine Vaughn); his daughters, Debra Mills and Nancy Mutchek; and his siblings, Marie Roberts, Ora Mae O'Dell and Jerb Vaughn.

He is survived by: his spouse Gale Christine Vaughn; his daughter Sandy Floyd; his sister Carolyn Howard; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Kristyn, Tiffani, Brittany, Zachary, Heather, Michelle and Michael.
