He was predeceased by: his wife Iris Larson. He is survived by: his children, Edward Larson (Sarah), Paul Larson (Deanna) and Cathy Boydston; and his grandchildren, Harley and Casey. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mel's memory to the Ardmore Elks Lodge.
