He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram Clarence Meely and Chiquita Ruth Meely (Johnson); and his son Preston J. Meely. He is survived by: his wife Sue Meely; his children, Daniel Meely, Tommy Meely and Lisa Meely; the mother of his children Arnetta Sue Amos; his stepchildren, Josh Wilson, Ocie Wilson and Melissa Eades; and his siblings, Gordon Meely and Linda Haskins (Meely). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
