He was predeceased by : his parents, Leslie William and Mary Clementine Hutchins (Green); his wife Thalia Ann Hutchins; his son Joe David Hutchins, Jr.; and his brother Huel Hutchins.

He is survived by : his daughters, Katherine Prince (Steve) of Midwest City, OK and Kimberly Fowler (Cord) of Yukon, OK; his grandchildren, Karen Rowland (Jeremy), Rebecca Gather (Joshua), Jessica Dornbos (Travis) and McKenna Kuykendall (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, Adrienne, Maya, Allie Rowland, Elijah, Jack, Katie, Luke, Nate Gather, Annabelle Dornbos and Aubrey Kuykendall.
