We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2023, at the age of 88, James Joseph Ramey in Ardmore, Oklahoma, born in Leavenworth, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Ramey and Lillie J. Ramey (Felix); his daughter Cindy Bluford; his sisters, Margie Winchell, Babe Hooper, Florence Whittet, Mollie White, Gertie Derzenski and Kattie Coleman; the mother of his children Charlene Graphman; and his stepchildren, Linda Senters and Michael Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Hartman; his children, Benitia Beesley (R. O.) of Davis, Jimbo Ramey (Rhonda) of El Reno and Peter Ramey (Teresa) of Cedar Falls, IA; his grandchildren, Tony Ingram, Jessica Smith (Matt), Jamie Hoffman (Frank), Hunter Beesley Ericka Nail and Chris Nail (Tiffany Wiles); and his sister Joan Shockey of Leavenworth. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
