He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Deatherage and Stella Mae Deatherage (Landrum); and his siblings, Paul Deatherage, Junior Deatherage, Louise Bryant, Chloetta Abramovitz and Billie Larson.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Deatherage; his children, Debbie Eddings (Charles) of Highlandville, MO., Melody Shackelford of Marshfield, MO., John Deatherage (Lori) of Ardmore and Okla; and his grandchildren, April Sweet, Kevin Flaherty, Jonathon Flaherty, Justin Deatherage, Jordan Jones and Kyle Deatherage. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Hillcrest Funeral Home (1610 C St, Ardmore, OK 73401). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hopewell Cemetery (7351 E Farm Rd 182, Rogersville, MO 65742).
