He was predeceased by: his mother Nell Lee James Smith; his former wife Bonnie; his sons, Harold David Smith and Basil G. Porter; and his brother Harold "Sonny" Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Kay Liston; his children, Sam Porter (Tresa), Frank Penny, Don Mackey, Ragenia Harrington (Bob) and Janice Hodges (James); his stepsons, Marty and Chuck; his brother Jimmy Smith; and also, Mary Riggs (Bob) and Glenda Harvin. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home (2118 S Commerce St, Ardmore, OK 73401). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Tuesday (2118 S Commerce St, Ardmore, OK 73401).
