He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Shans and Eula Shans (Slack); his daughter Kari Lynn Owens (Shans); and his siblings, Virginia Whittington (Shans) and Joe Shans.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Shans of Ardmore; his son Charles Brian Shans (Okla) of Jenks; his grandson Isaac Shans (Okla) of Tulsa; and his siblings, Judy Watson of Durant, Karen Roberts of Durant, Donna Hartline of Durant, Okla, Billy Shans (Ann) of Durant, Troy Shans, Jr. (Sharlette) of Lone Grove and Okla.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (12 3rd Ave NE, Ardmore, OK 73401).
