He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Joyce Swanda (Claborn); his nephew Chandler Pettit; his niece Summer Swanda; and his grandparents, Robert, Roberta Claborn, Louis and Dollie Swanda.

He is survived by: his father Danny Swanda of Apache; his children, Dylan Swanda (Carly) of Oklahoma City, Sierra Williams (Kolby) of Anadarko and Emma Swanda (Ethan Ellis) of Snyder; his stepdaughters, Shelby Washburn of Apache, His and Bethany Washburn of Tulsa; his grandchild Wrenlee Williams; his brothers, Kent (Tamey Swanda) and Dayne (Nina Swanda); his nephew Bryan (Deanna Swanda); his nieces, Samantha (Bill Noethlich) and Kassie Pettit of Apache; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Owen Noethlich, Danny Swanda, Claire Noethlich, Elsie Noethlich, Parker Pettit and Maeve Noethlich.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to The Apache Historical Society.

“Rob came to Kiowa Ks many years ago to hunt pheasants. He came with Steve Mindeman and Walter Harbache. Later he and the GRISSELHEAD BAND came and played for Kiowa Pioneer Days many times. He and some friends came and hunted often. Rob is always fun to be around and a gentleman. I had many enjoyable times with him. I miss him. John Miller Kiowa Ks”
