He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil M. Kiefer and Doris C. Kiefer (Britton); his siblings, Forrest, Robert Kiefer, Donis Adkins, Dorothy Lindsley and Darlene Orrell; and his granddaughters, Jill and Joy Kiefer.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Ulery; his son Larry Kiefer (Tammy) of Apache; his grandsons, David Spannagel of Yukon and Ian Kiefer (Erica); his great grandchildren, Tyler and Finn Kiefer of Tulsa; his grandson Evan (Heather); his great grandchildren, Kira and Amelia Kiefer of Houston; his son Jerry Kiefer (Julie) of Edmond; and his grandsons, Jared and Jay Kiefer.
