He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Faye (Henderson) and Carter Davis James; and his brothers, Johnnie James and Michael James. He is survived by: his family Ronnie; his wife Kathy (Kathy); his daughters, Sheila Gilliam (JC) of Caviness, TX and Kim Herrington (John) of Rosalie, TX.; his grandchildren, Amanda Lee, Lorenzo Shaw of Denison, TX, Kellie Ashby, Karlee Alston (Sam) of Palestine, TX., Morgan Watson (Thomas) of Paris, TX, Hannah McKinney (Jay) of Paris, TX, Shelby, Accettura (Austin) of Soper, OK and Trevor Gilliam of Caviness, TX.; his great grandchildren, Zaedan Shaw, Landri Lindeman, Lake Lindeman, Maebry, Clyde, Briggs Mckinney, Kye and Kota Watson; and his siblings, Connie Hines of Cisco, TX, Janice Pearce and Larry James of Oregon. He is also survived by brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial, the Fisher House Foundation, or the Vietnam Veterans of America charity.
