He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Holly and Ethel Ray (Whitlock); and his siblings, Opal Post, Ruth Durant, Marshall Ray, Melvin Ray, Eula McKee, Beulah Herman, Helen Jordan and Mamie Bruce.
He is survived by: his wife Sonia Ray; his children, Carl Ray (Debbie) of Miami, Helen Struthers of Antlers and Deborah Ray of Boron, California; and his sister Willa Mae Orta of White Settlement, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
