He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Mathis and Ruth Jane Mathis (Smith); and his siblings, Sue Weehunt, Reba Mathis and Stanley Mathis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Mathis (Owens); his children, Rocky Mathis (Karin) of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Raymond Mathis of Coweta, Oklahoma and Shawnda Butler (Eddie) of Idabel, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Jerry Mathis of Minnesota and Jan Mathis. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; along with many other children and grandchildren.
