He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Flynn and Mabel Flynn; his siblings, Tommy and Christine; and his nephew Harry.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Flynn; and his children, Johnette Tripp (Dickie), Ann Beaty, John Flynn II (Jennifer), Michael Flynn (Kaylee), Linda Reynolds, Heather Pritchett and Tim Pritchett (Jordan). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews.
