He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Phariss and Thelma Phariss; his son Leslie Phariss; his brother Mark Phariss; and his father-in-law Billy.
He is survived by: his wife Paula McClerkin of Anadarko, OK; his son Carey Phariss (Jenny) of Tonkawa, OK; his brothers, Larry Phariss, Hattiesburg and Russell Phariss; and his sister-in-law June McClerkin of Covington, TN.
