He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward A. Barnes and Violet Haigler Barnes Stephenson; his wife Karen L. DeHaas; his sister Marilynn "Bunnie" Bond of Okeene; his parents-in-law, Leon and Ruby DeHaas; and his brother-in-law Gregg Bond. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews; cousins, and friends.
