It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVeta Mae Lee of Ames, Oklahoma, born in OKeene, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Lamle and Marie Lamle (Metzler); her husband Edwin Lee of Drummond; her son Robert Lee; and her brothers, Norman Lamle and Roland "Cap" Lamle.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Detrick (Gary) of Ames; her granddaughters, Jodi Gungoll, Amanda Herrera, Hollie Kuehni, Mikaela Burch and Mikenzie Lee; her great grandchildren, Kayden Herrera, Wyatt and Hayes Kuehni; and her brother Jerry Lamle of Okeene.
Memorial donations may be made to Ames Christian Church or Ames Fire Dept. with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
