He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter William and Gertrude Henrietta Wiersig (Brakhage); and his sister Carolyn Zerener-Hudson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Schroeder of Alva; his sons, Brian Wiersig of Newcastle and Kevin Wiersig of Grand Island, Nebraska; and his sister Darlene Wiersig of Portland, Oregon. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
