He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Preston and Ima Ruth Haltom (Beecher); his daughter Ruth Mae Haltom; and his brothers, Ray Haltom, Jack Haltom, Rex Haltom and Gerald Haltom.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Haltom of Alva; his children, Gary Haltom (Frances) of Alva, Jack Haltom (Rosalie) of Alva, Ralph Haltom (Haydee) of Wichita, Kansas and Verlinda Otte (Ernie) of Alva; his grandchildren, Michelle, Tara, Mike, Jessica, Misty, Kamber and Marisa; and his brother C. E. Haltom (Georgee) of Enid. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Lindsay Nixon Memorial Scholarship that was founded by Verle's granddaughter, Tara Warwick.
