He was predeceased by: his parents, William Evert and Myrtle Lillian Phillips Decker; his wife Loretta Curtis; and his siblings, Buck Decker, Lavonua Bixler and Edith Duckworth.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kay Lynn Decker of Alva and Jo Lene Decker of Alva; his brothers, David Decker of Phillipsburg and John Decker of Oklahoma City; his brother-in-law Carl Carberry of Alva; and his grandchildren, Jay Lohmann (Katie Jo) of Alva, Taylor Turner-Arndt (Dallas Arndt) of Alva, Ariel Simpson (Michael Simpson) of Kiowa, Kansas and Emily Koch (Ethan Koch) of Topeka, Kansas. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, October 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home of Alva (230 Flynn St, Alva, OK 73717). A graveside service was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Pleasantview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Freedom Gates Boys Ranch or the Alva Swimming Pool Project.
