She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Edwards and Lena Edwards (Hayes); her siblings, Harding Edwards, Pete Edwards, Imogene Faries and Delores Reid; and also Levi Kates.
She is survived by: her son Walter Kates (Paula) of Stigler, OK; her grandson Chris Kates (Melanie) of Tuttle, OK.; her great grandchildren, Carsten Kates (Kate) of Norman, OK, Will Kates of Alva, OK and Katelyn Kates of Tuttle, OK.; and her siblings, Melba Turner of Stigler, OK. and Eugene Edwards of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews.
Viewing will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler (204 NE F St, Stigler, OK 74462). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
