With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harvey Gene Schuessler of Alva, Oklahoma, born in Cherokee, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 17, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Harvey Gene Schuessler to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schuessler and Edna Anna Marie Schuessler (Rauh); his wife Shirley Kramer; and his brothers-in-law, Don Hughes and Marvin Kramer.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Schuessler (Shari) of Hutchinson, Brenda Hood (Mike) of Alva and Scott Schuessler (Christa) of Stillwater; his sister Ruby Hughes of Aline; his grandchildren, Brandon Schuessler (Lindsey) of Assaria, Holly Cooprider (Brent) of Hutchinson, Kevin Schuessler of Hutchinson, Davis Hood (Hayley) of Frisco, Heather Jenkins (Matthew) of Tulsa, Karsten Schuessler of Oklahoma City, Eric Schuessler of Springfield and Tripp Schuessler of Stillwater; his great grandchildren, Kennedy, Lucas, Savannah Schuessler, Amelia, Thomas Cooprider, Ava and Hudson Jenkins; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Kramer of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home of Alva (230 Flynn St, Alva, OK 73717). Viewing was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery (218 Maple St, Alva, OK 73717). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (218 Maple St, Alva, OK 73717).
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Zion Lutheran Church/Murley Fund.
