It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arthur Wesley Smith in Alva, Oklahoma, born in Cherokee, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 14, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Homer and Florence Elizabeth Smith (Clutter); his brothers, Wilford Smith (Sonnie) and Larry Smith; and his grandchildren, Jacob Wesley Smith and Lauren Brogan.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Christensen Clark of Alva; his children, Mark Wesley Smith (Cara) of Amorita and Kim Sanders (Frank) of Enid; and his grandchildren, Tiffani Ford (Steve) of Elgin, Krystal Lovinggood (Jessica), Morgan McDonald (Aaron) of Mustang, Samantha Siler (Justin) of Stillwater, Nicole Briggs (Cody) of Alva, Ky Smith of Amorita, Ashley Lee of Cincinnati and Clinton Brogan (Angie) of Manchester, Iowa. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Cosmos Masonic Lodge #278 in Kiowa or the Cherokee Strip Museum in Alva.
