He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bernhard Thompson and Leona Irene Thompson (Starr); and his brothers, Victor Thompson, Delwyn Thompson, David Thompson and Bill Star.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Thompson (Gary); his children, Cari Thompson and Gary Lee Thompson, II (Pamela); his grandchildren, Joshua Thompson (Morgan) and Alexa Lyons (Bailey); his great grandchildren, Regan Thompson, Mckinley Thompson, Aubrey Lyons and Aidan Lyons of Kyle Thompson, A. J; his brothers, Jon (Cindy Thompson Robert), Michael "Mickey" Thompson (Nancy) and Craigg (Kristen Thompson); and his sister-in-law Joyce Starr. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, brother in arms, and his Masonic brothers.
His dedication to the Masonic order was a testament to his belief in brotherhood, charity, and truth.
