She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark Wheeler and Ruth Wheeler (Taggart); and her sister Gail Baldridge (Bob). She is survived by: her husband Charles Gibson; her sons, Allen Gibson, Dwayne Gibson (Jana), Darren Gibson (Carla) and Brian Gibson (Kathy); her grandchildren, Micah Wade Gibson, Mica D. Gibson, Colby Gibson, Kimberly Gibson, Cole Gibson and Amber Gibson; and her great grandchildren, Elijah Gibson, Indie Carter and Marlow Carter.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Janice's name to Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Afton.
