He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Carey; his children, Samuel Robert Carey of Adair, Tracy Glen Carey of Louisiana, Suzanna Rachel Prock of Adair and Shirley Roseann Leach of Catoosa, Oklahoma; and his sister Charlotte Hopkins of Stilwell. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
