She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay Putman and Etta Putman (Thornton); her sister Kay Elliott of Achille; her husband H. F. Bird; and her son Larry Bird.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christie Peppers (Gary) of Durant and Lana Wingfield of Calera. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
