It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Sue Withers of Achille, Oklahoma, born in Brownwood, Texas, who passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Martha Sue may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Lee Pendergrass and Eleanor May Pendergrass (Banks); and her son Carl Lee Stout. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence Larry Withers; her children, Susan Vail (Max) of Achille, Charlotte Tillery (Sam) of Sallisaw, Dottie Stout of Achille and Marty Withers of Achille; and her sisters, Velma Edwards of California and Wanda Copeland of Cartwright. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
