He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Pitts Holloway; his children, Dana Pitts Aaby (Les), Darin Pitts and Dara Pitts Hopkins (Leon); his grandchildren, Kaity Ray, Robert Aaby, Philip Aaby, Eli Pitts and Emily Pitts Giesler (Lane); his sister-in-law Lois Pitts; his stepchildren, Janet Smith Templeton (Philip), Laura Smith Neal Layman and Larry Smith (Renee); his stepgrandchildren, Carter Smith, Nathan Neal, Josh Neal, Dakota Smith, Alyssa Smith and Tara Templeton Stevens; and his friend Charles Nunley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
