He was predeceased by : his parents, Virgil McConnell and Thelma McConnell (Cooper); and his siblings, Peggy Houser, Joy McConnell, Ricky and Robert McConnell.

He is survived by : his wife Glenna J. McConnell (McCuen); his son Rick McConnell (Sherry); and his brothers, Jack and Mike McConnell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
