He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Brelsford Safko and Joe Safko. He is survived by: his wife Joann Brinson Safko; his children, James Joseph Safko of Waltham and Anna Patrice Safko of Pensacola; his siblings, Andrea Skatrud of Twisp and Tom Safko of Hernando Beach; and his stepmother Karen Safko of The Villages, Florida.. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as his many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (6 E Wright St, Pensacola, FL 32502).
