He was predeceased by: his parents, Alcee Kieffer and Emma Jean Kieffer (Giles); his wife Martha Kieffer (Hazen); his nephew Bradley Ward; his siblings-in-law, Jennifer and Buddy Ward; and his parents-in-law, Madelyne, James Thompson and Edgar Hazen.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Bob Hazen (Lisa); his nephew Tony Hazen (Deeanna); his nieces, Lori Driscoll (Mike), Nikki Ward, Michelle Walsh (Eamon) and Rebecca Hazen (Brandon Ray); and his friend Fonzie.
