He is survived by: his wife Laurel Stewart Burkhart; his children, Michele Merriam (Doug) and David Burkhart (Julie); his grandchildren, Tyler and Kaelin Burkhart; and his siblings, Jim Burkhart (Ann), Rose Parry (Bill) and Mary McKee (Jim).
