She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin R. Bowers and Freda Violet Bowers (Wright); her husband Bernard Sowers; her siblings, Clarence Bowers, Maxine Barr and Wanda Longstreth; her son-in-law Christopher Flynn; and her siblings, Benny Sowers (Norma) and Thelma White (Dick).
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan R. Whitaker (Mike) and Sharon Flynn. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery (1475 Military Rd #111, Zanesville, OH 43701).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in JoAnne's name to the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center, 1854 East Pike Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
