He was predeceased by: his parents, Oakey Boggs and Lola Lucy Friend Boggs. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carroll Suarez Boggs; and his children, William "Bill" Boggs (Roxanne Huck), Ernest Boggs Jr. (Sharon), Denise Boggs Farus (Danny), David Boggs (Betty), Cathy Boggs Goss (David) and Daun Boggs (Mindi). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and their spouse; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home (2318 Maple Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
