He was predeceased by: his parents, Zail William Careins, Sr. and Opal Careins-Heils (Cornell); and his siblings, Jeffrey Careins, Zail Careins, Jr. and Debra Russell.
He is survived by: his daughter Kyra McMillen (Lonnie) of Stockport; his grandchildren, Logan, Avery, Addison and Bentlee McMillen; his sister Cheryl Cosgrave (David) of Zanesville; and his nephew Bucky Pletcher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
