He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Basinger and Helen Basinger; his wife Grace Morris Basinger; his brothers, William Calvin and Ken; and his son James Douglas.
He is survived by: his children, William Morris Basinger (Marilyn), Robert Basinger Jr. (Sheri), Ann Basinger-Silone (Jeff) and Carol Murphy (Patrick); his grandchildren, Tiffany, William Christian, Brooke, Paige, Hailey, Brett and Luke; and his friend Annie King. He is also survived by his eight great grandchildren and family.
