With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Miriam A. Shafer Lescalleet of Zanesfield, Ohio, born in Shelby, Ohio, who passed away on December 15, 2021 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Philemon Watkins and Elizabeth Watkins (Phister); her husbands, Stanley Shafer Sr. and Robert K. Lescalleet; and her son Raymond Allen Shafer.
She is survived by: her sons, Stanley 'Ike' Shafer Jr. (Cathi) of Worthington and Jeff Shafer (Vicki) of DeGraff, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Raymond 'Skip Shafer, Rose Ann Zarling, Kristie Royer (Larry), Monte Shafer (Carol), Aimie Fry (Steve), Stan Shafer (Jerrie), Vikki Arseneau (Dale), Si Shafer, Cara West (Tom), Michael Shafer (Sara), Cody Shafer, Kevin Shafer, Michelle Matthews (Jonathan) and Candace Coggins (Alan). She is also survived by great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
