It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James W. Thatcher of Zanesfield, Ohio, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Malcom Thatcher and Bertha Elizabeth Thatcher (Burgett); his wife Elizabeth Ann Freer; and his brother Richard Thatcher. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Small (Joseph) and Joseph Thatcher (Lisa Wilder); his grandson Andrew Thatcher; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Thatcher, Mary Jane Trimble Hickman and John Jay Freer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
