He was predeceased by: his father Walter Hone; his former wife Dixie Hone; his wife Barbara Searle; his granddaughter Sara Hone; and his siblings, Ronald Hone, Jean Green and Bonnie Ward.
He is survived by: his mother Juanita Hone (Herford); his children, Deena O'Reilly and Don Hone (Rhonda Adams); his grandchildren, Heather Merriman, Anne Young, Kaley Crawford and Jackson Cottingham; and his close friend Connie Stover. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
