He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Roland and Janet Laureen Fortner Sr. (Hall); his wife Beth E. Maley; and his sister Rebecca Workman. He is survived by: his children, Jamie L. Sassen (Jeremy) and Chris Fortner (Ashley); his grandchildren, Savanah Willis, Gabe Fortner, Trinity Sassen, Tristan Sassen and Matthew Fortner; and his great grandchild Astrid Willis.
