It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Brooks of Zaleski, Ohio, born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Brooks and Ella Clark Brooks; his wife Betty Malone; his son Kenneth Brooks; his granddaughter Alisha Tinker; and his sister Susie Decker.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Tinker (Wayne) and Sharon Webb (Dennis); his daughter-in-law Nora Brooks of Zaleski; his grandchildren, James Walters (Katie) of Albany, Shiann Webb of Zaleski and Brady Tinker (Kalyn) of Ashland, KY; his great grandchildren, Evelynn, Rose, Tinsley, Micajah and Xander; his siblings, Jerry Brooks (Sharon) of Zaleski and Juanita Ocawa of Las Vegas, NV; his close friend Bill Horton; his caregiver Casey Johnson; and also Logan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
