He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas William Hanes, Sr. and Helen Kerr Hanes; his wife Joan Irene Mathison; and his son Thomas William Hanes, III. He is survived by: his children, Robert Allen Hanes (Maria LaMorticella) of Youngstown and Kathleen Ann McMichael (Tim) of Poland; and his brothers, Richard Hanes of Reno, Howard Hanes of Poland and Jim Hanes of Sebring.
