Thomas Popovich Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 92, Thomas Popovich (Youngstown, Ohio) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thomas Popovich to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Popovich and Anna Kvarta Popovich; his daughter Amy; and his siblings, Joe, Phil, Frank, Charles, Dorothy and George.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy A. Hackett Popovich; his children, Mary Ann Bennett (Doug), Tom Popovich (Nancy), Mic Popovich (Kelly), Cathy DeGenova (Steve Gilmore) and Rosemary Shanahan (Tim); and his grandchildren, Lisa, Katie, John, Allison, Michael, Michelle, Stephanie, Daniel, Lauren, Brian, Maggie, Luke, Adriana and Tommy. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home (2726 Center Rd, Youngstown, OH 44514). A prayer will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2729 Center Rd, Youngstown, OH 44514). The military honors will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Poland Riverside Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Akeso Hospice or Holy Family Parish, in Tom's memory.
