He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward R. Gent and Marcella E. Voyles Gent; his son Timmy; and his sister Connie Hendricks. He is survived by: his wife Janice Gent (Jacola); his daughters, Stacey Schermer (Steve) of Weston, Lesley Gent of South Beach, Florida and Becky Silva (John) of Foxboro; his siblings, Cindy Marcu (Rick) of Strongsville and Richard Gent (Pam) of Boardman; and his stepdaughters, Joanna Marino (Brody) of Swampscott and Jacki Ochs (Jace) of Solon, Ohio.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nephews.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to Zion Lutheran Church.
